We oppose all attempts to bring in online "hate crime" laws and/or prosecutions.
We oppose all attempts to bring in online "hate crime" laws and/or prosecutions. This is completely against freedom of speech and debate which is critical to the functioning of our democracy.
Police should be working on the ground protecting the public not wasting valuable time on social media.
Death threats and incitement to violence are already clearly defined in law so there is no need to have "hate crime" laws or
online hate crime laws.
We also demand that Alison Saunders consider her position as director of public prosecutions as she is unfit to hold this post.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for a specific change to the law, if that's what you'd like.
The UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for prosecutions. The Crown Prosecution Service is responsible for prosecuting in England and Wales.
