Make the "Black British History" textbook part of British curriculum
British schools are increasingly diverse yet an integral part of British history is missing from the curriculum. The book BLACK BRITISH HISTORY Black Influences on British Culture (1948-2016) is a new and exciting resource that would be a fantastic addition to the British National Curriculum.
BLACK BRITISH HISTORY Black Influences on British Culture (1948-2016) by Mr Robin Walker is a textbook with over 30 hours of curriculum approved lesson plans. Black British history is a huge part of post war history and British children from all backgrounds would without a doubt benefit from learning about what came before them. The next generation are our real hope for an enlightened, advanced and all embracing future that opens up opportunities. British history is great history.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what action you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to take. The national curriculum does not prescribe specific texts for students to study. Set texts are usually chosen by the relevant exam board, within the wider guidance set by the Government.
You could start a new petition asking for the inclusion of more Black British history in the National Curriculum.
