Tax single use plastics
Introduce a tax on single use plastics, such as product packaging, cotton buds, single use water bottles, polystyrene loose fill, micro-beads etc.
Plastic has become a menace to the environment as it does not readily decompose. A tax on single use plastics would encourage the use and development of sustainable alternatives with far less environmental impact such as cellulose based packaging and bamboo cutlery which already exist. A very small price to say for a long term shift in the environmental impact of disposable consumables.
