Give votes urgently to 2.2 million foreign residents
Resident Irish and Commonwealth citizens had votes, but 2.2 million other foreigners were barred from the recent referendum and election.
All residents pay taxes and contribute to the country. Give the 2.2 million votes immediately so that all future voting may be more fairly representative.
Chile, Jersey, Guernsey & New Zealand give votes to all residents.
Petition https://petition.parliament.uk/archived/petitions/166615 called for votes for 5½ million people barred from the Brexit referendum. Because the 3 excluded groups did not all receive support, the petition is relaunched as 3 separate ones. The issue is urgent because a new election or referendum may occur at any moment.
Numbers come from 2014-15 ONS & UN data. For details visit http://bit.ly/2cn7hrO

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what action you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition calling for all UK residents to be entitled to vote, if that's what you would like to happen.
