Petition Action

Change the Law on Rape- Remove the Word 'Penis' to allow women to be convicted.

Petition Details

In the UK, women cannot be convicted of rape because they do not have a penis. This serves to belittle the horrific experiences of men and women who have been sexually assaulted by females.
This a petition to remove the word 'penis' from the rape statute, to ensure both sexes are treated equally.

Additional Information

Male suicide is on the rise. There are a distinct lack of charities dedicated to male victims of abuse. We believe changing the law to protect men is a small step towards helping abuse victims feel validated.
This petition was created by women, who feel it is vital to ensure female perpetrators are treated equally to male.
