Halt the destruction of Africa's rainforests to grow palm oil and cocoa.
Most of the rainforests of south east Asia have already been decimated in the rush for palm oil, palm oil is in nearly everything we consume. Now that corporations have plundered south east Asia's forests their eyes are now on Africa for both palm oil and the new must have commodity of cocoa.
Short sighted corporate greed in it's rush for the financial benefits of Palm Oil and Cocao and the resultant deforestation is linked to:
1. Climate change on a local and global scale.
2. Damaging ecosystems leading to potential species extinction.
3. Emergence of zoonotic diseases ( see Centre for Disease Control research )
