Petition Action

Prevent the SNP from seeking an independence referendum for another generation.

Petition Details

As Alex Salmomd stated in 2014, time and time again, "this independence vote is a once in a generation vote". Yet, come 2016, the SNP are at it again, striving to gain independence from the UK. As a generation can total to 32 years, let's make sure that they can't seek indyref2 until at least 2046.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We can only accept petitions that call on the UK Government or Parliament to take action. We can't accept petitions that call on political parties to take (or not take) action.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
