Make the motor trade require a licence to be a mechanic

Petition Details

The motor trade unlike all other trades doesn't require a licence for the tradesmen and women to work. Garages can employ anybody as a mechanic. Unlike plumbers for example who need licences to work. A licence would ensure mechanics are capable of doing the job to a reasonable standard and safely.
