Ban whips when debating e petitions.
The leaders of the parties should not be allowed to whip the bank benchers when debating e petitions as it is the population of our great nation, the mother of all democracies, who want this DEBATED, without fear, by our DEMOCRATICALLY elected members of parliament, and to whip the back benchers under these circumstances is UNDEMOCRATIC.
Exactly what is the point of an e petition if it cannot be debated properly? The population may as well not bother.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Whipping is a matter for political parties and not HM Government.
