To call and end to 'dementia tax'. .
There needs to be a fairer system for paying for care between the individual and the state. There must be system in place to provide all people suffering with Dementia good quality care.
Social care is means-tested and anyone who has assets - including their house over the value of £23,250 are expected to pay for their care. This is not a fair system!
The cost to the U.K is £26 billion year with two-thirds of this cost being paid by people with dementia or their families either in unpaid care (£11.6 billion) or in paying for private social care.
