Petition Action

Urge the UK government to do more to stop Rhino poaching.

Petition Details

At least four rhinos are killed on a daily basis due to poaching and butchered for their horns ( which is the same material as our fingernails)
In 2016 1054 rhinos were killed in South Africa alone. The rhinos have to suffer in agonising pain for days. If nothing is done Rhinos will be extinct.

Additional Information

In South Africa alone from 2007-2014 rhino poaching rose by 9000%

Rhinos could be poached into exctinction as early as 2025.

In 1970 there was an estimated 65,000 black rhino now there's only 5000

The rhino horn is made of keratin the same as you're fingernails toenails and hair.

A rhinos death is not quick neither humane with many rhinos in severe pain for days.

These animals need our help to survive and the UK government can help do that.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to stop rhino poaching.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
