Recognise the rights of Iraqi Kurds to independence.
In a recent independently monitored referendum 92% of Iraqi Kurds voted to separate from Iraq. The government should support the Kurds and encourage Baghdad to engage in constructive dialogue with the Kurdish government on finding a peaceful solution without resorting to threats of embargoes.
