Petition Action

Condemn Spain's suppression of civil rights in the Catalonian independence vote

Petition Details

People want to determine their future in Catalonia. The Spanish state and courts have refused this. PM Rajoy is stopping a fair referendum and so interfering with democracy. TV pictures show police hitting people with batons. We ask PM May to condemn violence and breach of European democracy.

Additional Information

Television footage of last week on BBC and ITV of Spanish national police hitting people with batons.
