Review the impact of Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012
In 2012 the the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of offenders Act (LASPO) was passed. LASPO has had a profound impact on legal aid within the UK making it harder for people to gain legal representation, leading to an increase in litigants in person & arguably preventing access to a fair trial.
