Re-evaluate the Council House Programme
Due to the low stock of Council Housings We need to re-evaluate the Council House Programme as Council houses should only be available to those in desperate need of local support and/or because they are facing homelessness (as long as they haven’t made themselves intentionally homeless)
Council houses should only be available to those in desperate need of local support and/or because they are facing homelessness and then when they’re back on their feet and are able to afford to either private rent or get a mortgage, the council should assist them with this & then this council house can then be made avaliable again for those who really need it. We Also need a large nationwide building programme to reimburse the Council House stock, & until then the Right To Buy should be stopped

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly how you would like the Government's policy on council housing to be changed.
