Abolish the Human Rights Act! Replace it with a British Bill of Rights.
We need to restore common sense to our country. It is time to put Britain first. We need a British Bill of Rights and Responsibilities. The formal link between the British Courts and the European Court of Human Rights needs to be broken.
The Supreme Court should be the ultimate arbiter of human rights matters in the UK.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
It's clear that you'd like Parliament to repeal the Human Rights Act, but we're not sure what specific changes in the law you'd like to see in a British Bill of Rights.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the Government or Parliament to withdraw the UK from the European Convention on Human Rights, if that's what you'd like to happen.
