Make claimant phone calls to the Universal Credit Helpline free of charge.
The Universal Credit system is meant to provide a safety net to those most in need and to help the unemployed get into work. These people have no spare money. So, it is unreasonable to expect them to pay up to 55p per minute to talk to someone on the government's Helpline. Make the Helpline free.
This issue has recently been discussed in Parliament in Prime Minister's Questions.
