The rent licence scheme to be abolish from all London Borough, additional burden
The vast majority of landlords provide a good service, it is not right to impose unnecessary additional costs on them, or their tenants.
The will be very few landlord that are really do not care about the tenant and the property, but the are laws already in place to take legal action against those Landlords.
This legislation will not add any value but penilise good Landlord. All this is going to do is add extra cost. The tenants have the right to choose where they live. If they enter a property that looks terrible and it’s in a really bad condition then they do not need to move into that property.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We aren't sure whether you want to abolish additional licensing, which is the responsibility of individual local councils, or the mandatory HMO licensing which applies to certain types of housing.
You can find out more information here: www.gov.uk/renting-out-a-property/houses-in-multiple-occupation-hmo
You could start a new petition asking for the UK Government and Parliament to remove the power for local councils to introduce additional licensing schemes, if that's what you want to happen.
