This petition calls upon the Government to introduce an Annual Lethal Weapon Amnesty in Somerset.
Every time there is an Amnesty large amounts of illegal weapons are removed from the use of criminals. This should become an annual event, supported by the Government, organised by the Police, and promoted by the media.

Local gun amnesties are usually organised by local police forces, so this would be a decision for the Avon and Somerset Police Force. You could raise this issue with the Avon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner. You can find out how to contact them here: www.avonandsomerset-pcc.gov.uk/Contact/Contact-Us.aspx
You could start a new petition asking for the UK Government or Parliament to organise a nationwide gun amnesty, if that's what you want to happen.
