Petition Action

Support the thousands of woman who had faulty, poor quality implants

Petition Details

Poly Implant Prothèse (PIP) was a French company founded in 1991 that allowed us to have put in our bodies and our government with all our regulations allowed us to have these and have given no support whatsoever!

Additional Information

Women need help!! Our government are not helping! they were cleared as safe under safety guidelines! The company was liquidated in 2010 following that they had illegally manufacturing and selling breast implants made from cheaper industrial-grade silicone since 2001, hundreds of thousands of implants sold by PIP from 2001 to 2010 were found to have a 500% higher risk of rupturing or leaking. also being implicated in at several deaths due to systemic toxicity and several cases of induced breast cancer.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure what kind of support you would like the Government to offer to women who have had PIP implants.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you might want to ask the Government to provide financial assistance, or free examinations and implant removals on the NHS, or another kind of support.
