Flat fee of £10 for GP appointments

Petition Details

NHS Doctors are charging up to £50 for an appointment; quite clearly taking advantage of the of 3/4 week wait times in the Surgeries. A flat £10 fee would be affordable, cut queues and fairer for people who hardly use the NHS

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure whether you would like the NHS to introduce a charge for appointments with GPs, or whether you would like restrictions on charges for private healthcare.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
