Require all pubs and clubs to have metal detectors

Petition Details

By making it a legal requirement to have metal detectors at the entrances of pubs and clubs we could prevent people from even carrying a knife on a night out; fear of it being found and leading to a criminal offence of carrying a deadly weapon.

Additional Information

The security staff on pubs and clubs are there to protect customers and adhere to rules and policies of the venue –how can they protect someone from a knife if they are unaware of someone entering with a weapon of such.
