Construction standards are declining, there is a rise in the use of unskilled labour to perform construction tasks is to be done by fully trained qualified time served tradesmen.
The title of electrician is too ambiguous and requires title protection, by way of defining what an electrician is.

Additional Information

An electrician is to be defined by:

A minimum requirement of an NVQ level 3 and a defined time of site experience before the title of electrician can be used.

Ongoing requirement for trade relevant Continuing Professional Development byway of a minimum number of recorded hours between 15 - 20 hours per year.

A defined list of electrical jobs and tasks that may only be done by or under direct supervision of an electrician.

An electrician would be able to use a defined post nominal
