Specific Penalties For Drivers Found Guilty Of 'Hit And Run' Offences Involving Motorcyclists As Victims.

Additional Information

In recent times, there appears to be an ever growing mindset among drivers that being involved in a collision with motorcyclists is of lesser consequence than if involved with another four-wheeled vehicle.
We have seen in recent years the number of 'hit and run' incidents where riders are quite literally left for dead at the roadside while the driver makes off in a hope to remain un-detected.
When these offenders are finally tracked down we would like to see them face specific charges for this offence, provisioned for by The Road Traffic Act in the form of a designated section.
