Ban females from close combat roles, or increase the physical requirements
After David Cameron lifted the ban on females in close combat, the military fitness tests are to be re-written to make sure female soldiers can qualify for front-line duty. If we have to lower the requirements so women can join, we should reconsider the lift.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The military fitness tests are not "to be re-written to make sure female soldiers can qualify for front-line duty." We're therefore not sure what you want to happen.
The Women in Ground Close Combat Findings report explains that Physical Employment Standards are to be reviewed because they are based on 1990s scientific evidence and need to be updated as a whole – for the benefit of men and women.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for the Physical Employment Standards not to be reviewed, if that's what you want to happen.
