Save historically important 1841 Redhill locoshed from demolition
The original Redhill Station was built in 1841 by the London & Brighton Railway. The architecturally important Locomotive shed is due for demolition in mid 2018; this was approved on appeal and against local wishes. This is one of the earliest buildings in Redhill and deserves to be preserved.
Photos can be seen on the Reigate Society website at http://www.reigatesociety.org.uk/noticeboard/Locoshed_petition.php
The history of the original Redhill station built in 1841 and replaced by the new station in 1844 can be seen in an article written by John Capon http://www.reigatesociety.org.uk/noticeboard/Old%20Redhill%20Station.pdf
