Think about animals and limit the use of fireworks to only four nights per year
Every year I watch my Border Collie Penny, become ill with stress, anxiety and fear due to fireworks. My dog is one of many animals who suffer like this when fireworks are set off, and it has to stop.
This is why I am asking you to help me limit the usage of fireworks to the four main nights a year
The Fireworks Regulations 2004 made it illegal for any person to use adult explosives between the hours of 11pm and 7am. Nights except from this include Bonfire Night (November 5th), where people can set off fireworks until 12am, and Diwali, New Year’s and Chinese New Year, where they’re allowed until 1am.
Other laws include Section 80 of the Explosives Act 1875, which stops anyone from setting off fireworks on any street or public place.
