Time to call last orders on public funding of bars in the Houses of Parliament
Former Defence Secretary cited alcohol as a cause of his alleged abusive behaviour. Alcohol-related crime costs the UK up to £13bn a year. Yet our legislators enjoy cheap booze in parliamentary bars and a drinking culture prevails. No other workplace would allow this. Public subsidy should end now.
