Exhange Unemployment Benefit For A Community Work Benefit
Offer the registered unemployed a chance to increase the benefits they receive by joining a a newly created Community Work Scheme to repair or improve the local community. This would include repairs to worn roads, building renovation work, care in the community. The costs to introduce such a scheme would be offset by the reduced use of sub-contractors. Members of the scheme would benefit from additional skills and experience gained as well as some self worth while being unemployed.
