Petition Action

Close loopholes that allow corporations to legally avoid paying tax in the UK

Petition Details

In light of the news that companies like Apple have avoided paying their fair share of tax (surprise surprise) by investing via companies based in Jersey and the Isle of Man, where taxation is set at or near 0%, I believe the UK should act to prevent this as a matter of principle.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what changes you'd like to be made to the laws on tax.
