Stop 99p and pound shops from selling items for more than £1.
The idea of a 99p shop or pound shop is a good one and increasingly becoming popular on the highstreet. Now though they are selling items for more than a pound with the intention of confusing and driving up profits. False advertising and seeking to mislead the public.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the names of shops.
In any case, false advertising legislation already exists.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
