Petition Action

A vote of confidence on whether the foreign office is fit for purpose.

Petition Details

The foreign office represents this Nation around the world, but recently comments and actions have brought the ministry into disrepute. There has been a lack of judgement, tact, decorum and grace shown by the leadership of this ministry, exactly the type of qualities the leadership should have.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure what you mean by "vote of confidence". The expression "vote of no confidence" is used when talking about a vote in the House of Commons which tests whether or not the Government of the day has the confidence of a majority of MPs in the House of Commons. The concept of the House having “confidence” in someone does not apply to Ministers or Government Departments.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
