Petition Action

Provide statutory anonymity for victims of homophobic & transphobic hate crime.

Petition Details

Being 'outed' is a barrier for victims to LGB&T hate crime reporting an incident to the Police and later attending court. Introducing statutory anonymity, as already given to victims of serious sexual assault, would remove this barrier, as well as removing the possibility of hostile media reporting.
