We DON'T want an in/out referendum on EU membership
We the undersigned think Referenda are detrimental to the principles of representative democracy in this country and undermine the sovereignty of Parliament.
There may be a case for a referendum if there is a proposal for major constitutional change or at the time of a new EU treaty being proposed.
However, spending millions of pounds of taxpayers money on a referndum about EU membership at the current time, when there are no major treaty changes proposed between the member states of the EU, would be a waste of money and time when the world is in economic crisis.
