Enable all Blue Badge holders to have full entitlement to the Motability Scheme.
Currently, the Motability scheme is not available to Blue Badge holders who've proved their disability under a government recognised process but are not in receipt of certain benefits. Blue Badge holders need full access to the Motability scheme to enhance the quality of their lives.
Current exclusions to the benefits of the Motability scheme include; those people who become disabled through immobility after age 65 and in an ageing population this is becoming an increasing problem also, their are younger people, who receive a disability benefit for their immobility but its considered to be of a lower level and they are not entitled to the benefits of the Motabilty scheme yet they can qualify for a Blue Badge and they have to personally finance their own equipment.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Motability is an independent charity, not part of the UK Government or Parliament.
