Petition Details

Internet Sales Terms and Conditions run to pages and pages of legalise that most people do not read and when they do they probably do not fully understand the implications.

Additional Information

We do not have to sign off a multiple documents when making a physical shop purchase. Internet Sales Terms and Conditions should be simplified or appropriately protection put in place for both buyer and seller by law removing the need for them.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. This appears to be an action for internet companies, not the Government or Parliament.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for Government and Parliament to change the law to give consumers who purchase goods online specific protections, if that's what you want to happen.
