Inforce the minimum smoking age in public places
A lot of under 18s are known to smoke but nothing happens as regards to the law. I propose that it should be a more prominently enforced law. This will reduce the amount of young people smoking and increase the overall health.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure what you mean by "enforce the minimum smoking age".
It is an offence for any retailer to sell cigarettes to anyone under 18 years old. It isn't illegal for someone under the age of eighteen to smoke.
You could start a new petition asking for the Government and Parliament to make it illegal for anyone under 18 years old to smoke, if that's what you want to happen.
