Modify the Benefits Act and diminish benefits to people who are able to work.
The Benefit Act is outdated and promotes sluggishness. I propose any person on unemployment benefits, fit for work, free from responsibilities such as looking after minors and is in the age of 18 - 55 who refuses work should receive no benefits, unless they have a valid excuse.
Complete suggestion (character limiter on background page):
Any persons on unemployment benefit, fit for work, free from responsibilities such as looking after minors and is in the age of 18 - 55 can be asked at any time to do non skill based work for minimum wage at a government or private business. If the persons reject a job offer with no good reason benefits will be immediately ceased.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
