Force UK Teleco's to terminate UK lines and numbers that try to scam people.
Many calls from UK based telephone numbers that reportedly are from well known organisations (Microsoft, BT, etc) trying to convince me that my computer has been hacked and to get me to allow them to fix it, when all they are doing is trying to scam me.
UK telecoms companies have provided simple barriers for the comsumer to implement but are very limited and this should be the last resort not the only option. Telco's have the power and should actively shut down lines and numbers from offending parties that have been reported to be scamming people.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We're not sure exactly what you mean by "Force UK Teleco's to terminate UK lines and numbers that try to scam people."
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask Parliament to change the law, so that telecoms companies are legally required to withdraw services from people or organisations that have been found to be using telephone services to scam people.
