For too long now people convicted of terrorism or terror related acts have been getting small prison sentences this need to stop and they should be given life means life in prison

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Sentences in individual cases are the responsibility of the courts, not the UK Government or Parliament.

Parliament can set minimum sentences for specific offences in law. If that's what you want to happen, you could start a new petition explaining clearly which crimes you'd like this to apply to. The term "terrorist" is used for a range of different criminal offences.
