On the 6.12.17 the chancellor said to MPs at the Treasury Select Committee: "It is almost certainly the case that by increasing participation in the workforce for example of disabled people[...]may have had an impact on overall productivity measurements."

Additional Information

Rather than scapegoating disabled people through unfounded simplistic claims around a pretty complex matter Mr Hammond would benefit from reading this DWP commissioned report:
