Make Jerusalem by William Blake and Hubert Parry the national anthem
Firstly, it's simply a timeless song, probably my favourite. Secondly, it withholds a deep power to unite. In a time where Britain is divided and our future bleak, we need the power of Jerusalem to bring us together as one.
Reminding ourselves of our heritage allows first-generation Britons, as well as those that built this country, to rally behind one singular point, that this country is unlike any other. How did one island dominate the world? Through resolve, a resolve comes only to the British. Jerusalem inspires these attitudes, and paints a more optimistic future for our country.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The use of the present National Anthem is a matter of tradition rather than having any legal or constitutional status.
