Petition Details

Over 55% of those in the care system end up in the prison system, are vulnerable for human trafficking, prostitution, drugs, alcohol abuse and teenage pregnancy, plus, 40% of care leavers are not in education, employment or training at age 19 compared to 11% of the general population.

Additional Information

75% of children in care live in Foster Homes costing the Country £1.5 Billion, however, 25% of children in care who live in children's homes costs the Country £1 Billion (2012-2013), but early figures show this is close to £3 Billion in 2017.
