Ban non-biodegradable plastics for single use items

Petition Details

Most single use plastics take over a century to decomposes which is causing a large issue when trying to dispose of it. Non-biodegradable plastics build up in our landfill sites, rivers and oceans affecting a number of bird and marine species. So why not just make single use plastics biodegradable?

Additional Information

Biodegradable plastics are a better alternative to non-biodegradable plastics because they can be recycled, reused and require less energy to produce.
We must look to a better and more sustainable future,
