Petition Action

Introduce legislation which stands to govern the honesty of political discourse.

Petition Details

In the aftermath of the EU Referendum many voters felt lied to as politicians openly admitted to falsifying claims (e.g Nigel Farage and the £350m for the NHS, and David Davis with the falsified claims of impact assessments).

Additional Information

This petition seeks to create legislation which would govern, police, and prosecute dishonest political discourse. It demands that parliament crack down on the spreading of propaganda for political purposes and address the issue and stereotype of crooked and corrupt politicians feeding lies to the public to further political agendas.
