For UK to affect democratic reform at UN by giving SC seat+veto to Gen Assembly.

Petition Details

The UN Security Council is a muddled oligarchy, run by supposed democrats. It offers the power of imperialism-light for the veto holding states.

In reality though, the system can be made fair simply by offering a permanent seat and veto to the UN General Assembly, who already vote democratically.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government to work with other UN Member States to try and change the way the UN works or how it is structured in a specific way, if that's what you want to happen.
