Make it illegal for NHS Trusts to charge for parking at their hospitals.
You: Having to attend a hospital because you are ill isn't a matter of choice, like shopping, you have to go, and you won't know for how long.
Your family: it is completely wrong to charge people for visiting a sick relative or friend.
Staff: Being charged to park at your place of work, is wrong.
As was reported in the new recently parking charges are reaching new highs at hospitals, £174m last year. This is completely immoral. I do appreciate that the trusts need all the money they can get, but this isn't the way to get it. The excessive fees charged by the private companies running the car parks means the trust won't even get the full amount raised.
