Change the burden of proof to 'On the balance of probability'
A very small percentage of perpetrators of sexual offences are convicted under the current burden of proof.
Only 6% of allegations of sexual assault result in a a conviction of the perpetrator therefore 94% of allegations do not result in any sanctions being imposed on the alleged perpetrator.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure whether you would like the burden of proof to be changed for all crimes, or only sexual offences.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
