Lower the smear age from 25 to 16
Cervical cancer is from the HPV virus, something that everyone who is sexually active comes in contact with.
Research shows that even with the HPV vaccination, girls are still getting abnormal cells which then are left to form a cancerous tumour.
My aim is to try to lower the age, so from the age of 16 smear tests are available to all sexually actively girls, And from the age of 18 they are mandatory.
