To have seatbelts changed to a brighter colour eg yellow so they are easily seen
I believe that having seat belts changed in colour would make them more easily seen, and easier to for drivers and passengers to wear them. It would also make the job of detecting people who disregard the law on wearing seatbelts more apparent and noticeable to the police.
Having looked for sometime at many drivers whilst commuting to and from work and in normal day to day life, I see evidence that people still disregard the law and continue to put themselves in danger of injury and or death, having a seatbelt that is more noticeable by virtue of its colour would mean that there is less opportunity and temptation not to wear them.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
At the moment, the colour of seatbelts is the responsibility of car manufacturers.
You could start a new petition asking Parliament to change the law, to require all seatbelts in cars in the UK to be yellow, if that's what you'd like to happen.
